I didn’t expect much going in, not that it isn’t well received, I’m just not all that into possession stories.
It’s very well written it just lingers on the lead up to the exorcism too much. First little bit was kind of a slog to get through. I know this is one of the main kickoffs for possession stories but I’ve seen it so much that it lost me.
I really enjoyed father Karras as a character. It was very interesting to see his journey and interactions with Regan.
On the other hand I really disliked Chris. Even before Regan got possessed I found her insufferable.
I’m glad I read it, I’d never recommend it to anyone… unless they were cuckoo for exorcism stuff.
