This was my first book by the author and I really liked it. I thought it was well-paced and the story gripped me from the very start. It did leave some threads open at the end, but it's normal with such series, so it doesn't bother me too much, especially because I can more or less guess how they're going to be resolved. There were a few misleading techniques whose explanation I felt was a tad too convenient (such as
Eleanor/Gillian stealing the photos because she thought Della was a cute baby
), but not eye-rollingly so.

I don't usually complete crime series and just pick and choose what interests me, but I might make an exception for this one.
