Justice Mission by Lynette Eason

4.0

Romantic suspense is another favorite genre of mine. I love the action that compels the plot. I love that the romance brings a bit of humanity and feeling to suspenseful and often criminal situations. When a romantic suspense novel is also by a Christian writer, I know that I am going to learn something about my own faith while reading. Justice mission is all of that and more, and by more, I mean dogs!

I am a dog lover. Whole hearted, devoted, canine enthusiast. I watch funny dog videos, laugh at memes, and follow doggo twitter/IG accounts. When you add a dog to a story, I am thrilled. Sometimes I like the canine characters better than the book characters, but that just shows my love for our furry friends. My point is, this series has it all for me.

The plot is paced very well, and I was always interested and never bored. The characters were explored well without spending too much time going into exhaustive detail. Everyone involved had flaws and fears that are easily identifiable and relatable for the reader. Loved seeing the vulnerability of each person and how they reacted to stressful and scary situations. Sophie and Luke’s reactions seemed genuine throughout.

My only criticism would be the ending. Without giving too much away, I think I would have preferred the ending to have happened later in the series. I needed more development before that plot point occurred, but I also definitely wanted this to be the inevitable outcome.

Overall, great read, and the dogs were my stars.
