The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline

Poignant YA -
Picked this up in Canadian airport bc I didn't pack enough books - I'd never heard of it but glad I got it!
Fits in really well with Parable of the Sower (more adult) as well as The Last Cuentista (more middle grade).... this is an interesting in between.
Less characterization and "tidy" than I typically gravitate toward, yet it makes for interesting mind wanderings and would make for really great discussions and reflections!
Haunting dystopia with ecological apocalypse; perspective/Indigenous abuse and trauma but with incredible resilience, resistance, and survival; family; home.
