Beautiful Beloved by Christina Lauren
2.0
Honestly, I was disappointed to read this novella. And I actually loved the Max and Sara dynamics until now.
Unfortunately, I found that the portrayal of their relationship right after the birth of Annabel absolutely false, artificial. I’m a new mum and let me tell you - NO ONE has that at four months after birth. Especially since we are told that Sara had a difficult, complicated birthing. Instead, they seem to have absolutely no problems and, honestly, few changes in their relationship-which I found unrealistic as hell.
I’m just disappointed, it could have been really good. But it was a missed opportunity instead. And the sex scenes... well didn’t feel them either, so unfortunately this book wasn’t it for me.
