This was just ok. Comparing it to GGGTM is not beneficial because I preferred that story more. They are both highschool kids strongly inserting themselves into a “closed case”, with a podcast, and just doing the most. I think for GGGTM it was more enjoyable because I actually enjoyed the characters.
Cam is wired and exhausting and her actions were just constantly reactive and literally no self control whatsoever so ever. Like sheeee could literally do no wrong even when she did wrong! Like I just couldn’t. She was ALOT! And B poor B, she just dealt with it all, the crappy bf, the over the top bestie, the parents who didn’t care about anything except perfection. I just didn’t like the characters.
The plot was meh, when it wrapped around I was like wait who?! Oooo ok ok, the structure of the story was fine, the podcast episodes and the character interviews. But nothing truly wowed me.
This is a very easy and quick read but nothing too memorable.
