Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books by Kirsten Miller

4.0

as long as you approach this book as a hallmark movie-level social critique, you will enjoy it. at the beginning of the book it seems like the author wants to disrupt the "all conservatives bad, all liberals good" polarization, which i found really exciting. but by the end (maybe because there were too many characters) things definitely felt a little simplistic.

but again, if you're able to enjoy the "a workaholic realizes there is more to life than just working after meeting a charming lumberjack" kind of movie--there is some social commentary here, but it's more interested in making you feel a certain way--you'll likely find this book entertaining
