Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult

I have so many thoughts on this one, and I’ve been dying to write a review, but now I’m not really sure where to start. Parts of this book were really hard to read because I think they just hit so close to home and were a bit too real. I loved the Galapagos storyline and did not see the twist coming when she woke up. Also, I absolutely loved that she returned to the Galapagos in the end. It was hard for me to keep reading the book at this point because I was super invested in her storyline with Gabriel and Bea.
This is the first book I’ve read with a Covid storyline, and I think the author did a great job of showing the various sides and struggles people faced.
It was really hard from the readers point of view to be invested in a storyline that was constantly changing, but I guess that was probably the author’s purpose. The feeling was very reminiscent of the constantly changing narrative and storyline during Covid; I was constantly on edge while reading!
