Crossroads of Twilight by Robert Jordan

1.0

Have you ever gone to a meeting that could have been an email? That's what this book is. A whole lot of lot of words used to describe nothing. This is Robert Jordan at his worst as, he indulges his world by still building it up, and spending all too much time describing everything, and not really moving the plot forward. Every character has something to say, but none of it was interesting.

All of this would have been fine, as the rest of the Wheel of Time has boring PoV's and tedious repetition, but those stories at least build towards a finale, so explosive they rest among my favorite of all fantasy. Crossroads of Twilight ends not in an explosion nor a bang, but at best, a pop.

The only reason I continued reading at all, was knowing that the rest of the series is smooth sailing.
