Wow. I listened to the audiobook, read by the author, and Jennette's narration was amazing. I love the way the storytelling changes as she grows older in the bookâas a child and up into her young adult years, she didn't realize the abuse she was going through, or how bad some of her habits were, and her thoughts during those times are written so well. It's interesting, as a person looking at her experiences from the outside, to see how she justified what was done to her while she was young, and how she came to realize that it was abuse and what led her to write this book.
