I am finally beginning my quest to get through the Throne of Glass and Crescent City Universe, one book per month, except for the tandem read. At this point, I have been able to get to know without any spoilers, but my overarching thoughts are that I enjoyed this book, and I think I'll enjoy the worldbuilding and character relationships through the rest of the series. I made it through the book with relatively no heartbreak, except I want Nox to return, so we shall see where that goes. Cain was an outright nuisance, and I'm honestly not surprised he was behind all the gory murders.

Now, here's my bone to pick. I feel like Celaena and Dorian were just a bit too easy; the relationship I thought was one I assumed from the very beginning. Am I still a bit mad that she stopped it at the end? Yes, he was like a kicked puppy that needed a hug. On the other hand, this feelings triangle going on between Celaena, Dorian, and Chaol is just not it; I stan Chaol, and I want nothing but the best for him. Here's to the Champian; now I gotta wait until Target ships me Crown of Midnight.

I'm calling it now; if anything happens to Fleetfoot, I will invoice Sarah J. Maas for my therapy bill.
