The Last Interview and Other Conversations by Roberto BolaƱo

5.0

all the interviews in this are really interesting. and the introduction to this book itself is really great, gives good context for 2666 specifically, the unsolved rampant femicides in Ciudad Juarez and how Bolano became obsessed with them and investigated them. very fun to read Bolano just going off about his favorite (and least favorite) writers. The layout/design of this collection is really great too, lots of helpful marginalia/footnote type things giving context for Spanish authors and whatnot that are referenced, many unfamiliar to an English reader like me especially because some have not even been translated into English :(
