The atmospheric writing and suspenseful plot kept me engaged, but some plot twists felt predictable, and a few characters lacked depth. Also, was disappointed with demonization of witchcraft. Despite these minor flaws, Armstrong's storytelling prowess shines through, making this a solid read for fans of ghost stories and supernatural thrillers.

Overall, this is a captivating read that keeps you guessing, even if it falls short in many areas. If you enjoy atmospheric ghost stories with a touch of horror, this one is worth a try.
