This one was probably the best one in a while for me. I still can't justify 4 stars as I did in the past because, realistically, this entire series is just a whole bunch of crazy, outlandish, ridiculous, (occasionally cringey) nonsense and while it's fun to cruise through the series, I'm not attached to the story of any of the characters.
The addition of The Headless Horseman in this one was my favorite. For a book series that put so much focus on storybook characters coming to life, I really think I was hoping for a bit more of it. We get a couple of them in this book, but.. I didn't love any of them. Maybe I'm feeling a little let down by that aspect now that they've cut off the magic.
The synopsys says this is the last book in the series, but I'm seeing that there's a couple more. I'm interested in seeing where the series goes now that we're done with Dracula.
