The 2nd book in Quadrant of Balance series, The Omen of Destruction is a lot more action-packed than the 1st book as far as I remember.

The world building is expanding with a new set of characters and a new place to explore. We also get to know more about Ameida in this book.
I also love Jarren’s character growth in this story, he’s not as annoying after meeting the dryads as well as his new teammates.

I really like seeing all the three main characters work together to defeat the villain, it wasn’t easy at first but I admired their teamwork once they got through their differences and start to see each other as friends and even families.

Overall, it’s a good addition to the series and I really enjoy my time reading this book.
I’m really looking forward to read the next book to find out what happens next after that cliff-hanger at the end.
