Love and Other Conspiracies by Mallory Marlowe
4.0
A very quirky rom-com. But not too quirky! A fun premise with it centering around the two main characters filming a web series around conspiracy theories. The mmc believes in it all and is super passionate and knowledgeable about it while the fmc doesn’t believe in it at all and gladly argues with him about it. The book didn’t go to much in to the conspiracies that the characters were filming about. I don’t know if I would have preferred more about it or not. Instead it leaned more into backstories for each of the characters that were a bit heavier and serious.
The mmc was super cute and sweet, always knowing the right thing to say to the fmc. I was a bit back and forth with how I felt about the fmc. I never her found her annoying necessarily, but there were some times where it was close. The romance was adorable but I also felt like the mmc did a much better job with showing how he felt than the fmc… at least once they both finally acted on their feelings.
