CW: Animal death, death of a parent, emotional abuse, body shaming, fatphobia
This novella serves as a good example as to why people should never go to a sketchy doctor who offers a quick fix that seems too good to be true. Dr. Trevor Adams has come up with a method for people to lose weight without exercise and eating healthy. He injects them with pygmy shrew DNA.
What Dr. Adams failed to take into consideration is that pygmy shrew need to eat every two hours or they die of starvation. All of his patients are famous and wealthy, so when they attack and eat people, the media notices.
Things escalate at a rapid pace and get worse as the book progresses. This is my first time reading something by Wrath James White and it's definitely not my last.
