Nobody does witty banter like Alexis Hall.
(Upon writing that, I question if I've said that in previous blurbs about his books. Though I've not gone back to verify, and nor should you!)
10 Things That Never Happened may not look like a Christmas book, but rest assured it is. (Well, it's not a book made out of Christmas. It's a rom-com that takes place leading up to and during Christmas.)
This is the grumpy-sunshine story of bed-and-bath store manager Sam (full handle: Samwise Eoin Becker) and owner Jonathan Forest.
During a work-related row, Sam incurs a head injury on a Nexa by MERLYN 8mm Sliding Door Shower enclosure.
Jonathan thinks Sam has amnesia, and because he may have had a hand in said injury upon said Nexa by MERLYN 8mm Sliding Door Shower enclosure, he takes Sam in for two weeks of symptom monitoring. Against his better judgement and comfort level.
Add in big massive elephants in the rom-com room, and a snarky cat named Gollum (you knew that had to be), and this was a lovely and hilarious story. There are family issues and complicated histories, for added heart-wrench.
My only sliver of gripe might be is I wanted romance sooner between our men! But I'm also hopeful we'll see Sam and Jonathan again in a future novel.
 Recommended!
