Catch Me If You Can CD: The Amazing True Story of the Youngest and Most Daring Con Man in the History of Fun and Profit! by Frank W. Abagnale, Stan Redding, Michael Cerveris

5.0

As a teen, Frank discovered that he has a thing for the ladies but they cost money to impress. He starts small in 1963 by conning his dad out of a little over $3,000 and discovers just how easy it is. At 16 he runs away and begins and counterfeiting checks and conning people for a living. Using his charisma, confidence, and cleverness he manages to convince people all over the world he is a co-pilot with Pan Am airlines, a doctor (which gets him put in charge as a supervisor at a hospital), a lawyer with a Harvard degree, a teacher with experience as well as other small rolls that help him along the way. And all of this before he even turns 21 years old. He travels the world staying just ahead of the authorities but with the FBI on his trail he knows it's only a matter of time before his luck runs out.

This was a great book and a fascinating read! Abagnale fills the book with plenty of details really making the story come to life. It was truly mind-blowing to see everything he got away and how he managed to do it. It was a riveting read and hooked me pretty much immediately and held my interest until the end. I couldn't put the book down!
