This is a quick read, and rather light-hearted. While I am not a religious person, I thought it was an interesting idea to to include Christianity/Catholicism in the book as the counter point to the magic system. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the story, and that it wasn't revealed until the very end of the book. Can't wait to start the 2nd book in the series!
