Feast of Fools by Rachel Caine
Did not finish book.
Try as I might this series is just not for me. I can't work out why it flopped quite so hard. Personally I'm putting it down to the world and character building leaving a lot to be desired for me. It's a shame as the premise is pretty solid.
The tension between Claire and Shane has gotten to a point where it has become more than annoying.
And even more frustrating than that Shane continues to make irrational decisions with no apparent forethought.
Yet again the world building is inconsistent! What happened to *spoiler from previous book ahead* Michael becoming a vampire meaning that humans not vampires have to ask for permission to enter?
All in all I can see the merits to this book but perhaps only if you go it without a critical head on and perhaps for a little younger audience.
