After reading Beach Read last year, I was most excited to read this next book by Emily Henry! And boy, she did not disappoint. Friends to lovers is not my favorite trope in romance, as you normally don't have the backstory, you just have to assume that their friendship is legit. However, Emily Henry really crafted a great backstory in this book by showing all the past summers, up to 11 years ago when they first met. Every summer you get to understand their relationship better and the build up is just aaarhhh!! Loved it. 

The relationship Alex and Poppy have is so precious and fun to read about. I love Poppy's witty on the spot comments. I love how Alex is so caring and sweet. The anticipation is real to find out what the heck happened two summers ago! Henry really kept me intrigued and turning page after page to find out more about their history together. 

In a time where we can't travel, I loved going on vacation with Poppy and Alex through this book. Highly recommend if you want an easy cute romance to read this summer.
