Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall

challenging emotional informative inspiring medium-paced

5.0

Hood Feminism is a brutally honest look at how white feminism leaves behind entire swaths of people of color. I have read a few books on this topic and I found Hood Feminism to be a standout in terms of cohesive organization, a balance of exposition, data, and anecdotes, and action items for readers.

I think every white woman should read or listen to this book. I am by no means saying that reading one book on this topic is sufficient, but if you are only going to pick one this is a great choice.
