The premise of this book is inspiring. The parts that deals with these things stands out (i.g. the parts highlighted in the movie) but there are other parts that tends to drag out the story unnecessarily and these don’t add to the experience, rather the other way around in my opinion. 
The book is intended for a younger audience, but the use deus ex machina is a bit tedious.
