Dear Love, I Hate You by Eliah Greenwood
1.0
First read of the year and it was a disappointment.
I liked the premise that's why I picked it up. It was okay for like 30% but it got annoying too.
I was frowning the entire time. I never even read the full pages just glances and there's simply not enough depth for me to go on.
The letters were nice. How they moved from writing to texting. I understand they were concealing their identities from one another but the difference of their hidden and shown characters are so unrealistic in some parts.
It started out on a cliche then it was all of a sudden, every freaking trigger made it all too dramatic and just unrealistic. Rape, pedophilia, suicide.
We barely saw an interaction between Xav and his dad until the end. He coaches Xav and they live together. I don't know. I notice plot holes more often when the writing isn't appealing to me.
I don't know. I used a gift card to buy this so overall not worried about it but at the same time - I'm annoyed.
