I was really excited about this but it was disappointing :/ the writing was quite nice at times but overall too flowery and detracted from the plot which itself was underdeveloped and forced. There's not really much of horror in it, a lot of the focus was on the friend group's dynamics and their relationships which honestly I didn't care about. Wish Khaw had taken a different approach considering the novella's length and done it differently.
