Gah this book was incredible. I loved it from the first page, to the last one. When I wasn’t able to read I was itching to get back to it!! This was a friends to lovers/second chance romance tied together to make a beautiful literary work of art. The back and forth to before and present was done really creatively. I fell in love with all the characters and their transformations. It’s just a feel good kinda story. So just read it, ok?! You won’t regret it! And if you don’t believe me, just trust Queen Reese. She would never lead you astray!

Shiloh and Cary were best friends in high school. Everyone knew they were in love, except Shiloh and Cary. She goes to college and he joins the navy. 14 years pass. Shiloh is divorced with two kids. Cary is still in the Navy. Their best mutual friend gets married, so they are reunited after being apart for many years. They ~slow dance~ all night which foreshadows what it takes for them to get past the confusion, resentment, and regret they’ve held on to.
