Storm of Secrets and Sorrow by Melissa K. Roehrich

adventurous dark emotional sad tense medium-paced

5.0

Where do I even start to express how much I absolutely loved this book, Melissa has a way of pulling you in straight away and keeping you totally engaged with every moment. There is so much that happens in this book, the pacing is brilliant and I didn’t find it slow down at all and that’s because the plot is constantly moving that you don’t realise just how much you have read.

The character’s development in this book is so good, it’s a slow process but by the end I was absolutely loving the direction it was going in. Tessa is a badass, she’s raw and impulsive and wild and for me it makes her character so much more real and relatable and that’s why by the end I  was 100% behind her taking control of her situation and can’t wait to see what comes next. I love how we got to learn more about Axel and Luka and their perspective throughout this book and only added to the plot for certain scenes.

This is still very much an enemies storyline as far as the relationship goes with Theon and Tessa and at times it is so heartbreaking and gut wrenching and full of so much tension and angst and your trying to work out how if at all a certain character will redeem themselves. I’m also really looking forward to seeing how things develop with the added MFM aspect and to see how it works in the dynamics of the relationship between these characters.

I love everything about this book, from the world building, plot development, characters and the twists and turns i can’t wait to see what’s to come next. If there’s one thing I will say if you are new to the legacy series or even the Lady of Darkness series  trust the process that Melissa takes you on it’s worth it in the end it’s just a journey to get there.

Thank you so much to Melissa for the opportunity to read an ARC. As always I am leaving my honest and voluntary review!
