Skin of the Night by Claire D. Bennett

5.0

This book is one of my favorites! This story is unlike one I have read and that is due to the attention of detail Claire brings to her characters, and overall entire book! In addition, I love both Will and Cara respectively. Cara is unlike any female protagonist I have read, she’s the kind of woman who is driven by her goals, and sets out to complete them. In the beginning, Cara is set in her own ways, she’s independent and isn’t going to change the course of her plans for anyone or anything... that is until William Night comes into the picture. William is also unlike any male lead I have read before, he is intelligent, calculating, blunt, and yet has a romantic side to him. Claire has crafted these characters in a way that we are instantly hooked by them, but she also has a way of showing us that these characters definitely have flaws to them that they eventually work out through. I could go on and on about how much I love this book, and give you a detailed full length essay on this book. I have nothing but good things to say about this book, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE! Happy reading :)
