Plot📘 4/5. Spice 🌶3.5/5. Another great finale to a great story. This had lots of action and fun and *spiciness*. At first when I was reading it I was like, where the heck is this going?! because the book seemed a bit stagnant up to the 30% mark. After that point then we start getting into the flow of things and getting questions answered. Spoiler: I regret saying in my review of the 1st book that David was just a jump off and the "Sacrificial lamb"/throwaway character of Book 1. That psychopathic bastard and egomaniac literally consumed the entire book. It confirmed the suspicion I had in Book 1 all along, but this really put all the pieces together, AND it also answered questions that I had from the NOLA Witches series (still my favorite series out of the Marvelous 3).  Parts of the action sequences reminded me of the action sequences in the Sons of the Elite series, and I was rooting for team RaVage to save the day . Content warning: lots of violence - physical and sexual - and even threat of terminal illness on the cards. EVERYTHING was literally thrown at these people. But I really liked the crossover of all 3 black women, Gabrielle, Kiara, and Tiana. Out of all of the 3 series, the Anarchist series is most consistent in terms of tone, pacing, and character/world building and felt like I was really seeing the growth in Smauggy's storytelling. Most importantly, this story was just cute, black girl magic superhero fun which is what I adore about all her stories. I'm on the edge of my seat now for the Death Do Us Part series.
