The Widow's Guide to Dead Bastards by Jessica Waite

mysterious reflective medium-paced

4.0

This book had so many ideas and themes in one person’s story. I guess that’s like life, isn’t it? Jessica’s unexpected title of widow and then the discover that her husband had multiple secrets revealed after his death means grief is not simple or quick. It’s complicated and messy, and takes over the lives left behind. Jessica writes with honesty and revelation, and offers a memoir that feels relatable for anyone who has ever lost a loved one and sought answers.
