Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

Did not finish book.
I started reading this immediately after Six of Crows and I, unfortunately, had to DNF after months of trying to get into this book.

I am sad that I didn't finish it because the first book ended so spectacularly and I was ready to be immediately pulled into the next book. I find the ages of the characters very off-putting, I find Kaz to be very mean for no reason. I find many elements of this book to be implausible and it really affected my ability to get into the book and the story. I was so disappointed that the book opens so slowly and spends a significant amount of time world-building, carrying out unnecessary plots just to add twists that don't need to be there.

I found this series on Booktok and was sadly disappointed by the second of this duology. Perhaps I will save it for a rainy day, but I don't find myself drawn to this book in any way.
