A young couple, some tourist families and a refugee all decide to go to the beach for the day, an idyllic cove with vegetation, sand and beautiful cliffs. Until they find a dead body. Then the children start to age rapidly. Soon everyone is growing older at an alarming rate and they can’t seem to get out of the cove.

What a disturbing and strange story. Coupled with the sinister drawings I was definitely uncomfortable and unsettled reading this one. The characters were all really strange and I can’t say I was rooting for any of them except maybe the children. The ending was exactly how I wanted it to end though.

I’m looking forward to watching the movie Old based off this graphic novel. A middle of the road rating here because the artwork wasn’t for me and some of the dialogue was off to me but overall I did like it, 3✨.
