1/10/25: This still holds up! And love knowing what I know… I love how well written Xaden is and how Violet is shown as the naive girl that she is. This world makes them grow up so fast and trust is something that doesn’t need to be earned.
The bonus chapters from Xaden’s pov were AWESOME! I wish I would have tandem read them!


7/18/23: Is it possible to give a book more than 5 stars??? This will definitely be a reread. This will be a comfort read. This book was amazing.
Trying for a spoiler free so this will be short. But know there are NO DISLIKES!

LIKES:
1) Violet. She was the reluctant hero that we’ve been waiting for since Tris and Katniss
2) Xaden. I knew there was was more to you than just a smoldering look
3) Dain = Jacob Black
4) this book felt like Hunger Games and Twilight had a little Divergent baby. All of my favorite dystopian books with a ton of dragons!

I can say no more except, this lived up to the hype for me!
