I skipped the reminders at the beginning of every chapter but I enjoyed it. I disagree with another review that said too much time was given to Caldenia’s plot line and not enough to Wilmos’ but I think it was good. Final battle a little rushed but more to come. I enjoyed  all of the culture and intrigue of the spousal selection and the end of that storyline (Caldenia’s part and the bride).  I was excited for the new door to open and it opened where I predicted but with the final scenes I thought maybe it would be somewhere more dramatic, like the mountain door whose location is unknown. I thought at first it would open to the planet where everything is magical but no. I did like Dina’s sister’s story and the vampires though so hopefully more of them with the door.
