A triumph. I’m not a science fiction reader usually, but I loved The Martian so much that I decided to give Project Hail Mary a try… and I’m really glad I did. It’s a lot of the good parts of The Martian, also being a story of survival and scientific ingenuity, but this time it isn’t about one guy making it: it’s about the entire human civilization.
