La Nena by Carmen Mola
dark

fast-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
5.0

As the second book in the series concluded, I didn't know where the story was going to go. However, I found it to be the best of the three books (so far, I don't know what to expect from the fourth). The level of morbidity exceeds the limits and I thought that in the first two it had been enough.
At this point, one becomes too familiar with the characters and the story makes us read a new phase of them. There are bad guys and there are less bad guys, it questions which side to take, it pushes human reasoning to the limit through situations. Good and evil? That does not exist here separately, nor together.
Once again, Carmen Mola exposes the darkest side of humanity.
