A fun and fast story for the true Cosmere lovers - the previous series are required reading. I thought the plot was okay and the momentum kept the story going. It did benefit from fast pacing, but some of the characters suffered a bit with that. I especially found the villain to be too one-note for my liking. The main emotional crux of the story worked for me, but once you started reading you did know where it was going quite quickly and there weren’t that many surprises on the way. Still a fun read, more science-fictiony than other Sanderson works I’ve read.
