The Design of Goodbye by Kara Renee
5.0
This was a beautifully written and impossible to put down YA enemies-to-lovers romance. There are a lot of heavy topics in this book (please check the trigger warnings) that were handled and addressed with so much grace by the author.
This book starts by introducing us to Madison, whose mother has just left her at the start of her senior year of high school, and Liam, school outcast, who has been assigned as Madison's math tutor. Liam and Madison's story is an absolute whirlwind of emotions, so make sure you have some tissues handy. I loved watching Madison and Liam grow and heal from the trauma from their pasts, while learning about trust, loyalty and who your real friends are.
This book full of difficult choices for Madison and Liam was an absolute joy to read. Thank you to Kara for the opportunity to ARC read. This book was an easy 5
