This book was an utter delight from start to finish. Deja is a borderline burnt-out academic who is truly amazing and is so real it hurts at times. And her crush on the most perfect bachelor on campus is truly understandable. Alejandro is truly perfect - from his endearing attempts at cooking, rocking glasses and grey sweatpants, and his seriously strong pining game. In between them having all the steam (like fan yourself steam) - there are real and beautiful conversations and themes of asking for help, the struggle with allowing someone into your life, work/ life balance, and racism/ sexism within academia.
