I had to read this for a university module. It is a mixture of prose fiction and lyric poetry, particularly satirical sonnets. The 80 pages felt like they dragged on for a week and I didn't enjoy the reading experience. Apparently it was a popular text upon its original publication but the appeal has definitely been lost on me. It is is single part of a larger collection of poems however and I feel that reading the complete work might make this piece feel more cohesive.
