Bad Girl Reputation by Elle Kennedy

this book wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t my favourite either. i found myself reading it for the sake of reading it. both evan and gen are “bad” and decide to go on a little quest of bettering themselves in order to be together. but idk if it’s because the book length is shorter, or the characters didn’t feel developed enough, or just the fact that it wasn’t for me, but i didn’t buy it. she didn’t give me BAD girl vibes, he didn’t give me BAD boy vibes, somehow in the first book he gave me more bad boy vibes than this entire book. it just wasn’t giving me enough.
her reasoning for leaving the town because randall sexually assaulted her was valid and i’m happy he ended up a lonely drunk at the end. his wife and kids deserved better
also this is a lot spicier than the first book (i guess to emphasise their badness? their burning lust for each other? their magnetic connection?) but i found myself bored and flipping through the pages waiting for something, more meaning somewhere.
throughout i was looking for bits of cooper and mack because i missed them compared to these two…
i will say i’m kinda looking forward to the next book which i think is about alana? (love triangle??!!)
also, this book feels like a shorter, less toxic and drama filled version of magnolia parks, which i ateeeee up. do with that what you will
overall wasn’t bad, but did i love it? no. will i forget it? yes - update, i remember almost nothing (:
