Not my favorite of the J.Darling series, but mostly because it makes me sad and it's SO DIFFERENT from the others.

Not a fan of the very short span it covers, or how different she sounds because she's talking directly to Marcus instead of herself.
I do admire that McCafferty did make her sound different, I think you always censor yourself if you're talking to someone else.
I think what really gets me is that this is a really rough time in Jess's life, and it just gets me. Post college years, when you're trying to start your career and be an 'adult' totally blow. And she expresses it well.
