The Lies I Tell by Julie Clark
4.0
I was completely stoked when I saw The Lies I Tell was a June BOTM option. I'd already started hearing some great feedback from those who read advanced copies, and I was itching to get my hands on it!
The Lies I Tell was a slow-burning read and also one that isn't as it first appears. Vindication, heists, righting wrongs....yes, it's all part of this book, but what I was surprised to find was a stirring of sympathy and compassion in me as I read it. I won't go into any more detail there because this is a spoiler-free zone, but this was a story that took me by surprise, and I'm so happy I finally got to see what all the bookish buzz surrounding this one was all about.
