The Children on the Hill by Jennifer McMahon
5.0
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall Review (spoilers)
ooooh this book went in a direction I was not expecting but enjoyed so much. Everything about this book was PERFECT. The psychology, the human horror, the unreliable narrator, the plot twists, the switch between the past and present, the NARRATOR SWITCHES?! It is all so good and great. Seriously, I have no complaints about this book, and usually I can find something to nitpick about.
The ending and final two plot twists? I was in the gym and nearly fell off the treadmill because I didn’t see that coming.
Plot Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Genre: fiction, horror, children horror
Trigger Warnings: Death, gore, body horror, asylum
