Yearning by Kiki Clark
2.0
I’m disappointed because this book is the same as Reckless, in that it felt like nothing happened the entire time. We started out with an interesting meeting at the end of Temptation (book two, which I did enjoy) that carried over into a follow up and a spicy encounter, then… not much. There was a ton of yearning for a property vest and a lot of shibari description. There was a kink party at the Club, with more shibari.
That’s it, really; there was no one thing that was truly engaging or memorable.
I was hoping this would top Temptation the way Temptation did Reckless (imo) because my attention and love was focused entirely on Ollie and Six in their book, whereas I really don’t care about the actual main characters in the first book or this one. There was no conflict at all, I felt, and I was just… bored. The author has such good writing, but I was unimpressed with this one.
