The Secret History by Donna Tartt

5.0

It’s been 8 years since my first read, and it felt amazing to be back in Donna Tartt’s expertly crafted world. This is such a solid piece of storytelling with an incredible flow that keeps you engaged even through 50-100 page long chapters. The on-point descriptions take root and bloom into impressively vivid imagery; all the main characters will live rent-free in my mind as long I’m alive and well. This book has become so embedded in my personality that it’s hard to talk about it without throwing wave after wave of praise, so I think I should keep my review short to not sound completely ridiculous. If you haven’t already, I strongly urge you to give it a try!
