Predictable storyline and the writing went from formal to sappy, especially the romance scenes. I’d read the Nina Guerrero series and Maldonado repeats tropes, such as the Fair cop trope, in both series she’s a headstrong Latina with a past trauma that influences her to become a law enforcement officer, she’s the youngest on her team, extremely physically fit and beautiful and is stuck in a love triangle with colleagues. Not sure if I’ll read the rest of the series.
