Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward

5.0

My favorite thus far. Excellent character development of both the MMC and the FMC. They each have a rebirth: hers is forced upon her, his is a choice. This is a book I wish I could read again for the first time.

The class system power dynamics are a heavy shroud threatening to engulf both characters and keep them apart. I loved Marissa and Butch’s love story: so much longing and yearning, the discovery of one another (emotionally and physically), the cultural differences, the respect. There are possibilities that arise for both characters informing decisions that could further keep them from one another.

I also appreciated how much this book shows the bond that has developed between the ‘brothers’ and Butch; particularly him and Visious.
