DNF @ 33%

I found the storylines uncompelling and the characters not very well developed. When I read a historical fiction, especially one where a lot of it is true, I want it to focus on that, actually have some realistic historical details. The whole narrative with Avery, her constant descriptions about how rich and important her family is.... I couldn't care less. Then the author tries to create interest by making you guess at May and Judy's true identity... May's is revealed fairly early which takes away any suspense and does it really matter which one Judy is at that point?
